Traecey E. Methum 1955 - 2010

After a 10-month battle with lung cancer, Traecey E. Miller Methum, 55, formerly of Elgin, Iowa, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, April 8, 2010.

She died peacefully at home, cared for and surrounded by her loving husband of 31 years, E. Peder Methum, her four children and two grandchildren.

A memorial service was held Saturday, April 10, in Milwaukee, Wis., to celebrate Traecey's life. Burial was in Milwaukee.

Local services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 17, at First Baptist Church, Elgin. The Rev. R. Lee Boleyn will officiate.

Visitation will be two hours before the service at the church. The family invites you to share lunch with them after the service.

Traecey was born Jan. 12, 1955, in West Union to Clifton D. and Inez M. Miller. She graduated with the Valley High School class of 1973.

Traecey is also survived by her mother, Inez M. Luchsinger of Elgin; three sisters, Kay (Dave) Boleyn of Elgin, Nancy (Wayne) Sexton of Cedar Rapids, and Sherry (Joel) Iseminger of Hudson; a brother, Kim Miller of Ft. Mohave, Ariz.; and a multitude of extended family and friends.
