Alexander Downs d. 1889 at age 62

Maynard -
On Saturday at 11 o'clock in the
church at this place occurred the funeral
of Alexander Dows, who lived
about 2 1/2 miles north of this place,
He was in poor health for a long time
with consumption. He was 62 years
old, and came to this place from Wis-
consin several years ago. He leaves a
second wife, an adopted son, and a
niece of his that had been adopted into
the family. The funeral services
were conducted by Rev. Milton Taylor
of the United Brethern denomination,
of which order Mr. Downs was a constant
and faithful member. A large
number attended the funeral. JAKE
