Janet Marie Yauslin

Janet Marie Yauslin, 58, of 1604 48th Street NE, Cedar Rapids died Thursday, Sept. 3, 1996 in Mercy Medical Center following a brief illness. The Rev. Kay Slocum officiated and burial was in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband Donald; two daughters, Dawn Sullivan of Hazleton and Kim Yauslin of Cedar Rapids; a son, Darin of Alburnett; a brother, Duane Gordon of Postville and five sisters, Lola Heins of Postville, Alice Baries of Monona, Jean Szabo of Castalia, Nancy Dilley of San Diego, Calif. and Sharon Nelson of Hiawatha.

Also surviving are four grandchildren, Matthew, Kendra, Jade and Katelyn and a great grandson, Jacob.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Donald and a sister, Charlotte.

Janet (Deanna) was born September 25, 1937 in Postville the daughter of Anna and Milton Gordon. She attended Postville school.

On September 30, 1956 she married Donald G. Yauslin at Nashua, Iowa at the Little Brown Church. She worked for General Mills for 14 years.

Janet will always be remembered as a loving and wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She touched many hearts and will be forever missed.
