Funeral services were held for Marion H. Moore, 72, Friday, Nov. 21 at West Clermont Lutheran Church with the Rev. Allan J. Stoa officiating. Burial was in the Long Grove Cemetery, Maynard.

Mr. Moore was the son of Volney and Lela Moore, born Feb. 9, 1908. He died Nov. 18 at Methodist Medical Center, Des Moines.

Forty-two years of his life was spent as an educator; 12 as a teacher and coach at McGregor and Osage; and 30 as a superintendent of schools at Little Cedar, Clermont Independent, Clermont-Elgin and throughout the reorganization of Valley Community School, including Wadena.

In 1932, he married Mildred M. Carpenter. He was a member of Clermont Methodist Church, serving as treasurer for 11 years and later joined West Clermont Lutheran Church and was a member of the Council.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Mona. Survivors include his wife; daughter, Mrs. Keith Carlson (JoAnn), of Ankeny; a brother, Willard of ElCajon, Calif.; and one granddaughter.
