Andrew Bahl was born at Lore, IA, May 17, 1863, died at
Oelwein, IA, October 13, 1921, age 58 years, 6 months.
Married to Lena George February 23, 1886. To this union
were born seven daughters; Mrs. Oliver Glew, Mrs. Dave
Chapman of Oelwein, Mrs. Ray Dickinson of Stanley, Mrs.
George Graham of Oelwein, Mrs. B H. Williams of San
Francisco, California, Misses Emma and Bernice at home;
also five grand children besides four brothers and three sisters
as follows; George, Jake and Adolph of Lore, IA, Frank of
Richardsville, Mrs. B. Oswold and Mrs. Joe Bugung of
Dubuque and Mrs. George Luchsinger of Lore.
The deceased had been a resident of Dubuque county up
until ten years ago when he moved to Oelwein.
Funeral was held October 17 from Hoffman's Undertaking
Parlors, Dubuque, to St. Mary's Church where Solemn
Requiem High Mass was read. Casket bears were F. J.
Schmitt, Otto Schmitt, Ludwig Trommelt, Fred Wissel, Joe
Bonz and John Dietz. The body was laid to rest in Mount
Calvary Cemetery.
