Albert F. HIllman 1862 - 1946

HILLMAN, DAVIDSON, REDFIELD

HAZLETON (Special) —Albert
F. Hillman was born August 19,
1862, in Buffalo township, Buchanan
county, Iowa. He died in
Hazleton June 25, 1946.
He was one of a large family
born to L. O. and Elizabeth Hillman.
His boyhood was spent on the
homestead in northeast Hazleton
township, purchased by his father
from the government in 1856.
On August 24, 1892 he was united in
marriage with Miss Clara
Davidson. They established their
home in Stanley, later moving to
the homestead in Hazleton township,
purchased from his father
and owned by Mr. Hillman at the
present time.
They were the parents of six
children: Dwight and Emerson of
Hazleton; Bruce and Sam of Oel
wein. His wife and a son and
a daughter preceded him in death
Mrs. Hillman died September 3
1921, Linton, March 14, 1919, and
Lois, December 10, 1938. '
Mr. Hillman retired and pur
chased a home in Hazleton in 1926
Since the death of Lois his son
Emerson and family have also lived
in the home.
In young manhood, Mr. Hillman
united with the Union church
of Stanley.
He is survived by his sons, one
sister, Mrs. Esther Redfield of Detroit,
19 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren
besides many other
relatives and many friends.
Funeral services held at Hazleton
Presbyterian church Thursday,
afternoon at 2:30 with the
Rev. James Wray officiating. Burial
was at Otsego cemetery.
