Mrs. Mary Darrah was born in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
Feb. 25, 1852, the daughter of Mary and John Morrow,
one of seven children, four brothers and two sisters, all
of whom preceded her in death.
She was married to Robert Darrah in 1878 to which union
were born seven children, three sons and four daughters,
of which two are living, Harry Darrah of Proctor, Minn. and
Mrs. May Cleworth of this city. Her husband, Robert Durrah
died in October 1902.
She is one of the pioneer members of the Oelwein Presby-
terian Church.
She had been active until January of this year, having been
confined to her room more or less since that time. She
sustained a fall June 23 and was taken to Mercy Hospital on
that date, passing away Wednesday morning July 3.
Also surviving is her grandson, Harry D. Cleworth of Los An-
geles, Calif., great granddaughter, Darrah Ann Cleworth,
nephews, Charles, Archie and Glen Morrow of this city, niece
Mrs. Mae Sperry of Milwaukee and numerous other nephews
and nieces.
Funeral services were held at the Hintz Funeral Home on
Saturday, July 6 at 3 o'clock and conducted bhy the Rev.
L. W. Hauter. Burial was at Oakdale cemetery.
