Robert Darrah 1856 - 1902

Intelligence was received here Saturday
of the sudden death of Robert
Darrah at Winnepeg where ho was
about to go to work in the railway
shops. Mr. Darrah was formerly foreman
in tho boiler shop of the C. G. W.
in this city, and was popular among
his follow employees and other friends.
His death came as a terrible shock to
his wife who resides in this city. Tho
remains arrived here Monday night,
and the funeral occurred yesterday afternoon
at 2 o'clock. Rev. James Wilson
delivered tho discourse, and a
large number of the friends of the
stricken family were in attendance.
Interment was in the Oelwein Cemetery.
