Lyman Judd----Obituary
Lyman Judd was born July 15, 1865 in Oran township, Fayette county, Iowa. He was the son of Silas and Sarah Judd. Lyman passed away at his home in Hazleton, November 19, 1941. His early life was spent in Fayette county, and the last twenty four years in Hazleton.

On October 6, 1897 he was united in marriage to Cora Zimmerman. To this union were born five children” Mrs. Cella Schermerhorn and Mrs. Dorothea Odell, of Hazleton; Lila, of Clarion; and Nora of Gowrie, Iowa. One son, Darrel, preceded him in death March 24, 1919.

Besides his wife, Mr. Judd leaves four daughters and five grandchildren. There are also five sisters and seven brothers: Mrs. Mary Weber, of Oelwein; Manie and Goldie of Missouri, and Pearl who resides in Texas; Otto and Arthur, Missouri; Aubrey, Colorado; Frank, Arkansas; John, South Dakota; Henry, California; and Jesse, who makes his home in Oregon. There are also many nieces and nephews who remain.

Lyman’s father, mother, four sisters and a brother preceded him in death.

Mr. Judd was a member of the Methodist church for many years. He had also been a member of the Knights of Pythias, and an active member participant in community affairs.

The funeral service was held in the Hazleton Methodist church and the interment in Greenwood Cemetery near Westgate.
