Funeral services for Dickie T. Schott, 75, of Hawkeye, Iowa, were held Wednesday, Nov. 18, at United Methodist Church in Hawkeye with the Rev. Burt Williams officiating.

Interment was in the Alpha Cemetery.

Becker-Milnes Funeral Home of Hawkeye was in charge of arrangements.

Dickie died Sunday, Nov. 15, 2009, at Hillcrest Home in Sumner.

Dickie Thomas Schott, son of John and Gladys (Mabb) Schott, was born Nov. 13, 1934, in Oskaloosa. He graduated from West Union High School in 1953.

In 1954, he married Charlotte Latham. They divorced in 1970.

Dickie worked for many years at Weyerhauser in Cedar Rapids.

At one time he was a member of United Methodist Church in Hawkeye.

He had been a resident of Hillcrest Home in Sumner since November 2007.

Dickie's parents preceded him in death.

He is survived by six children, Ted (Judy) Schott of Fredericksburg, Robert Schott of New Hampton, Terry Schott of Fredericksburg, Jeff (Sheryl) Schott of Cedar Falls, Deanna Jarchow of Sumner, and Gary Schott of Maynard; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
