George A. Alexander, 90, of Belgrade, Mont., formerly of Fayette, Iowa, and Rochester, Minn., died Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009.

A memorial service was held Nov. 7 in Missoula, Mont.

Born Oct. 2, 1919, in Rochester, Minn., George Albert Alexander was the son of Albert George and Grace (Hardy) Alexander.

He attended school in Rochester.

George served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He was a resident of Fayette for many years.

George was the father of 10 children, including Vivian (Ethan) Guyer of Elgin.

He is also survived by 32 grandchildren, as well as numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
