Leo Earl Orth

Memorial services for Leo Orth were held Thursday, Jan. 31, 10 a.m. at the Clermont Funeral Chapel in Clermont, IA. The Rev. Terrance P. Hennesy officiated. Special music was provided by Arthur Amundson accompanied by Patricia Butikofer, organist. The Schutte Funeral Service of Clermont was in charge of arrangements.

Leo Earl Orth, son of Russell and Goldie Mae Dixon Orth, was born December 12, 1932 in Nodaway, IA. He died Friday, Jan. 25, 1991 at his home near Hartville, MO.

On February 27, 1956 he married Elizabeth Ann Larson.

He was a member of the Hartville United Methodist Church. While in Iowa he was a volunteer fireman. His childhood was spent in southern Iowa and he later made his home in West Union. They raised their family in the Clermont, IA area and then moved to Hartville, MO in 1987.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife Ann; 2 daughters, Debbie Ann (Mrs. Patrick Dipzinski) of Oak Harbor, WA and Brenda Lee (Mrs. Gary Stringer) of Rialto, CA; one son, Neil Vance Orth of Maryland Heights, MO; 2 grandsons, a granddaughter; 2 sisters, Joy (Mrs. George Hintz) of Oelwein and Goldie Mae Meyers of West Union.
