Jennifer J. Imbus, 37, of Luana, Iowa, formerly of West Union, died Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009, at her home following a long illness.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, 2009, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Monona. The Very Rev. Richard Gaul was the Mass celebrant.

Inurnment took place in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery, Monona.

Leonard Funeral Home, Monona, was in charge of arrangements.

Jennifer Jane (Guenther) Imbus was born June 7, 1972, in Iowa City. She was the daughter of Gerald and Colleen (Baumler) Guenther.

Jennifer graduated from North Fayette High School, West Union, with the class of 1990.

On Oct. 16, 2004, she was united in marriage with Michael Imbus at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Monona.

Jennifer was a loving wife, mother, daughter and sister. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, working on the computer, and playing cards. She will be deeply missed by the many people who knew her.

Preceding Jennifer in death were her paternal grandparents, Hardy and Adaleen Guenther, and her maternal grandparents, Carl and Mathilda Baumler.

Survivors include her husband, Michael Imbus of Luana; her parents, Gerald and Colleen Guenther of West Union; a daughter, Alannah Ann Guenther of Luana; a stepdaughter, Jennifer Jean Imbus of Monona; a stepson, Justin Imbus of McGregor; a brother, Jeff Guenther of West Union; and a host of other family members and friends.
