Funeral services for DeLoris L. Quail, 60, of Waucoma, Iowa, were held Friday, Sept. 11, at St. John Lutheran Church (Stapleton), rural Waucoma, with the Rev. William Horn officiating.

Interment was at Garden of Memories, Waterloo. Casket bearers were Catlin Quail, Kyle Copp, Randy Bast, Kody Copp, Tom Rolison, and Joey Rolison.

Becker-Milnes Funeral Home, Hawkeye, was in charge of arrangements.

DeLoris died at her home on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009, after fighting a yearlong battle with liver cancer.

DeLoris L. "Dee" Quail, daughter of V.L. "Bud" and Berniece (Rutter) Wilkinson, was born June 14, 1949, in Waterloo. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church (Stapleton), rural Waucoma.

On Sept. 10, 1966, Dee was united in marriage with Ronald "Mike" Quail Sr. at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.

Dee worked at Beatrice Foods in Fredericksburg, the Kleen Maid bakery in Waterloo, and DECO in Decorah.

Her parents preceded her in death.

Dee is survived by her husband, "Mike" Quail of Waucoma; her sons, Ronald Jr. (Candy) of Sumner and Joshua (Andrea) of Alpha; her six grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; two sisters, Sonja (Fred) Bast of Readlyn and Jo Rolison of Waterloo; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Memorials may be made to Heart of Iowa Hospice or to the family.
