Carol (Winter) Woodward, 68, of Central City, Iowa, formerly of Fayette County, died Sunday, June 7, 2009, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids.

A memorial service was held Wednesday, June 10, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Central City.

Carol was born July 3, 1940, in rural Fayette County. She was the daughter of Erwin and Henrietta (Koester) Winter.

Carol was employed at Rockwell-Collins for many years.

She was a member of St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Central City.

Her parents preceded her in death.

Survivors include a daughter, Lori Woodward (Dave Weston) of Anamosa; a son, Scott (Christina) Woodward of Vevay, Ind.; five grandchildren, Chad, Danielle, Kassandra, Damien and Dalton; a great-grandchild, Travis, and another expected; four brothers, Gerald (Joann) of West Des Moines; Herbert (Jean) of Conroy; Ronald (Ethal) of Claremont; Roger (Bernice) of Calmar; and a sister, Delores, of Tempe, Ariz.
