Fayette county is certainly having
a run of sad mishaps of late. Below
is an account of another death, which
we take from the Gazette: "While
L. Dutton's family were an their way
to town yesterday morning, the whiffletrees
got loose and let the sled upon
the horses' heels. They commenced
kicking, striking a child, two years
old, son of the dead Mabel Sanderson,
upon the head, fracturing the
skull. The accident occurred near
Fawcett's mill. Tho child was
brought to the drug store as soon as
possible, but died within a few moments
after. Lillie Dutton, in whose
lap the little boy sat, recieved a severe
kick upon the wrist. This is a
sad blow to the family, seemingly
made more so by the absence of Mr.
Dutton.
