STANLEY (Special) — Word
has been received of the death of
a former Stanley area resident,
Mrs. Beth (Brownell) Titus,
Cedar Falls Lutheran Home.
She died Thursday, Jan. 18 at
Allen Memorial Hospital in
Waterloo.
She was born Oct. 30, 1912 in
Stanley, the daughter of Burr
and Lena (Stewart) Brownell.
She married Lyle Padden in
1933. They were later divorced.
She married Vernon R. Titus,
June 2,1947 in Waterloo.
Survivors include a son, Larry
Titus, Waterloo, and a daughter,
Norma Jo Wittmayer, Las
Vegas. She is also survived by
four grandchildren, seven greatgrandchildren,
a sister; and
Mrs. Bonita (Bonnie) Soles of
Cedar Falls. She was preceded
in death by her husband in 1979,
and a brother, Chester Brownell.
Funeral services were at 10
a.m. Monday, Jan. 22 at Bethei
Presbyterian Church. Burial
was in the Garden of Memories
Cemetery.
