Arthus Clarence Blockhus, 43, of West Union, was killed instantly about 1:45pm yesterday when a truck he was driving veered down a 30 foot road embankment and overturned.
The Iowa Highway Patrol said the accident occurred about three-quarters of a mile north of Clermont on a county road.
A passenger in the truck, Truman Meyer, 54, also of West Union, suffered a minor head cut and bruises of the right shoulder, ankle, and foot. He was taken to Palmer Memorial Hospital here.
The cause for the truck leaving the roadway was not reported.
The body was taken to Burnham-Wood Funeral Home.
