MAYNARD — John H. Hamrick, 75, Wednesday at his home here following a several weeks' illness; born Feb. 7, 1879, at Belle Plaine, the son of Edward and Ida Clark Hamrick; following his father's death when he was three years old he came with his mother to Fayette county; married Pearl Palmer July 6, 1904, at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Palmer, Maynard; lived on a farm near Lima and since 1909 had lived in Maynard; was engaged in road work for Fayette county for 35 years, retiring Jan. 1, 1949; leaves widow, one brother, Charles, Vancouver, Wash.; three halfbrothers, Lester and Peter Fauser, Fayette, and Arthur Fauser, Oelwein; preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers; funeral, Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Delsing funeral home; burial in Long Grove cemetery here.
