Mrs. Reed Dies At Fayette:
FAYETTE (Special) — Death came last night at 7 o'clock to Mrs. Nettie Reed, Fayette resident who has been bedfast since Oct. 18, 1945 when she suffered a stroke. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 o'clock in the Belles Funeral Home in Fayette with burial in the Fayette cemetery.
Mrs. Reed was born Jan. 3, 1873 in Nevada, Iowa, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Hamrick. She was married to Will Reed in Westfield township Feb. 20, 1892. The couple lived in the Whitley neighborhood for a time and in 1917 moved to Fayette where they lived for 14 years. From there they moved to Maynard and back to Fayette in January of 1944. Mrs. Reed is survived by her husband and two brothers, John Hamrick of Maynard and Charlie F. Hamrick of Battle Ground, Wash.; three half brothers, Lester Fauser and Peter Fauser of Fayette and Arthur Fauser of Oelwein; and a half sister, Mrs. Eugene Palmer of Waterloo. She was proceeded in death by two brothers and sister, Mrs. Margaret Nefzger who died in June of this year. A son, Bert, died in the period following World War 1.
