Fayette — Mrs. Margaret/Hamrick Nefzger, 74, in St. Joseph's hospital at New Hampton after about a six weeks illness; nee Margaret Hamrick, Feb. 25, 1872, at Bell Plaine, to James, and Ida Hamrick, and came to Fayette county when a small child, settling on a farm near Lima, east of Fayette; Aug. 17, 1888, she was married to H. S. Nefzger at Fayette and they farmed their entire married life east of Fayette; celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary eight years ago this August; to the union four children were born; Mrs. Essie Doland, Elmer Nefzger and Mrs. Maude McCarron, Fayette, and Floyd Nefzger; Forrest Park, Ill., all of whom survive, with 13 grandchildren, and three great grandchildren, two brothers and a sister, John Hamrick, Maynard: Charles Hamrick, Wy colt, Wash., and Mrs. Nettie Reed, Fayette; three half brothers, and one half-sister, Lester Fauser, and Peter Fauser, Fayette; Arthur Fauser, Oelwein, and Mrs. Eugene Palmer, Waterloo; preceding her in death were one brother and two half brothers; funeral, 2 p. m. Saturday at the Belles funeral home here; burial in Lima.
