Mrs. Nefzger of Fayette Dies
FAYETTE (Special) — Services for Mrs. H. S. Nefzger, who died Wednesday evening in a New Hampton hospital, will be Saturday afternoon at the Belles funeral home here. Burial will be in Lima. Mrs. Nefzger was born Margaret Hammerek (rmf note: typo; last name should be Hamrick) Feb. 25, 1872 at Belle Plaine and came to Fayette county as a young girl with her parents, James E. and Ida Hammerek (rmf note: typo; last name should be Hamrick). They lived on a farm near Lima. She was married Aug. 17, 1888 to H. S. Nefzger, who survives her. Also surviving are the following children: Mrs. Effie Donald, Mrs. Maude McCarron and Elmer Nefzger, Fayette: Floyd Nefzger, Forest Park, III. Mrs. Nefzger leaves two brothers, John Hammerek (rmf note: typo; last name should be Hamrick)of Maynard and Charles of Wycolt, Wash.; a sister. Mrs. Nettie Reed of Fayette; two halfbrothers, Lester and Peter Fauser, Fayette; a half-sister, Mrs. Eugene Palmer. Waterloo; 13 grand children and three great grandchildren. Her parents and one brother, Lee, preceded her in death.
