The funeral was held Friday; from the Congregational church. Rev. Daniel M. Parker officiating. Obituary: Francis Ware was born in Royalton Center, New York, June 6, 1863, and died in Fayette, Iowa, Tuesday, September 29, at the age of 58 years, 3 months and 16 days. At the age of three years he moved with his parents to Fayette, Iowa, where he has spent the remainder of his life.
In 1861 he was united in marriage to Elizabeth Thompson, and to this union was born three girls, Iva Paul of Fayette, Lavon Birdsell, of Oelwein and Margaret at home. Mr. Ware was always a hard worker, striving always to get to the place in life where he could retire from active work and enjoy life. He was just reaching the end of his goal, when death overtook him. Mr. Ware continued at his chosen work until an hour before his death. He died as he had lived, hard at work. He will always be remembered by his children, as a loving father, who was always striving to give them the best education he could afford. He often remarked that he wanted his children to have the advantages that were denied to him. He leaves to mourn his loss his loving wife, three daughters, 5 grandchildren, one brother, Bert Ware, of Fairburn, S.D., and one sister, Mrs. Will Meyers, of Cedar Rapids. Mr. Ware will be greatly missed by all in the community in which he long has served.
