Mary Ellen Voshell was born
in Arlington, Iowa, May 22nd,
1915. She was the fourth child of
May Cousins and Alfred Voshell.
She departed her life October
17th, 1936.
When four years old she came
to Oelwein with her folks. She
grew to young womanhood in this
city.
On October 25th, 1932 she was
married to Harold Brewer of this
city. She was always pleasant and
cheerful to those whom she came
in contact with. To know her was to
love her. As a child she was a
faithful attendant at the Salvation Army
Sunday School. At the age of 16 she
was baptized in the Christian church
by Brother Wade.
On the 7the of January she and
her husband moved to Waverly
to make their home. The last four
months of her life was spent in the
hospital at Waterloo.
She leaves to mourn her departure her
husband, her grief stricken mother and
father, one sister Ada Bell at home,
Jacob, Archie and Weisly of this city,
Alfred, Kenneth, Richrd and Floyd at
home, one brother having passed away,
besides a host of other relatives and
many friends.
Funeral services were held at the Brant
Funeral Home Monday at 2:30, Rev.
W. C. McClurg officiating. Internment was
made in the Taylorville cemetery near
Arlington.
