OELWEIN -- Benjamin "Ben" Michael Huston, 9, of Oelwein, died Friday, Sept. 19, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident Thursday north of Hazleton on Highway 150.

He was born June 24, 1999, in Waterloo, son of Michael Duane and Brenda Dee Doty Huston.

He was a fourth-grade student at Wings Park Elementary School, Oelwein. He was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survived by: his parents of Oelwein; a brother, Brandon at home; maternal grandmother, Bonnie Doty of Oelwein; maternal great-grandmother, Betty South of Oelwein; paternal grandparents, Perry and Pam Weatherbee of Kingman, Ariz.; and paternal great-grandparents, Evert and Mary Weatherbee of Kingman.

Preceded in death by: maternal stepgreat-grandfather, Harold South; maternal great-grandparents, Leslie and Ella Mae Petersen; paternal great-grandmother, Betty Lou Straw; and maternal grandfather, James Doty, who died of injuries sustained in the same motor vehicle accident.

Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church, Oelwein, with burial in Florial Hills Memorial Gardens, rural Oelwein. Public visitation from 1 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home, Oelwein, and for an hour before services Wednesday at the church.
