Reynold Baumler (1922-2008)
WEST UNION -- Reynold Baumler, 86, of West Union, died Saturday, March 22, at the Good Samaritan Home, West Union, of age-related causes.
He was born Feb. 2, 1922, in St. Lucas, son of Carl and Mathilda Scholbrock.
Survived by: his wife, Helen; a son, James (Marsha) of West Union; three daughters, Mary Jane (Jim) Topc and Sally Baumler, both of West Union, and Carol (Bruce) Hovden of Charles City; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Louann Throndson of Lawler, Colleen (Gerald) Guenther and Norma (Ed) Wurzer, all of West Union; and two brothers, Gerald (Lois) of Waucoma and Irenus of Waukon.
Preceded in death by: four brothers.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Name Catholic Church, West Union, with burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery, rural West Union. Public visitation from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Burnham-Wood Funeral Home, West Union, with a 4 p.m. parish rosary, a 7 p.m. Scripture service and a 7:30 p.m. Knights of Columbus rosary.
