OELWEIN/WATERLOO -- John C. Rausch, 90, of Winter Garden, Fla., died Friday, March 28, 2008 at the home of his grandson, Ben, in Winter Garden, Fla.
Mr. Rausch was born in Oelwein, Iowa and moved to Florida in 1975 from Waterloo, Iowa.
He was a retired Data Processing Manager for John Deere for 28 years and a World War II Army Air Corps veteran. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion, Air Force Association, the First Baptist Church of Winter Garden and a former member of the Elks.
He is survived by three daughters: Betsy (Dale) Kelly of Winter Garden, Jacquelyn Bryant of Port Royal, S.C., and Susan (Mark) Blocker of DeLand, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Ben (Alison) Kelly, Michael ( Nichole) Kelly, Shawn (Staci) Kelly, Megan Summers, Katie Bryant, Brittany (Matthew) Levon and Amy Ruth Blocker; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Garvey Rausch; his son, William C. Rausch; and his son-in-law, Philip Bryant.
Funeral services will be held today, March 30, 2008 at 3 p.m. at Lankford Funeral Home, 220 East New York Ave., DeLand, Fla. Interment will be held privately. Memorial donations may be made to the Hospice of the Comforter, 480 W. Central Parkway, Altamonte Springs, FL 32714 or to the Collide Fund at the First Baptist Church of Winter Garden, 125 E. Plant Street, Winter Garden, FL 34787.
