INDIANAPOLIS — Evelyn M. Linstrum, 96, formerly of Westgate,
died Friday morning, Aug. 13, 2004, at Wellington Manor in
Indianapolis, after a long illness.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 17, at Greenwood
(Murphy-U.B.) Cemetery, rural Westgate, with the Rev. Timothy E.
Parker officiating.
There will be no visitation. Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home,
Oelwein, is handling arrangements.
Evelyn M. Green was born May 25, 1908, at Oelwein, to Arthur and
Ruby (Lampin) Green. She married Roy Linstrum on Nov. 11, 1923.
Evelyn was a homemaker. They farmed in rural Westgate from 1954 to
1997, retiring to Indianapolis.
Survivors include her son, Charles Linstrum of Indianapolis; two
grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren;
and one sister, Ethel Sims of Hazleton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy, June
28, 1980; two sisters, Helen and Henrietta; and a brother, Howard.
