BURKBURNETT, TEXAS - Funeral services for Terry R.
Chandler were 2 pm Monday, July 20, at the Owens and
Brumley Funeral Home Chapel, Burkburnett. The Rev.
Landon Winstead of the First Christian Church officiated.
Mr. Chandler, 58 died Thursday, July 16, 1998 at his
home in Burkburnett.
He was born May 2, 1940, in Altus, Okla. He graduated
from Oelwein High School (1959) and Iowa State
University, Ames, attending on a full athletic (football)
scholarship. Mr. Chandler retired from the US Air Force
after 23 and one half years, then worked at the Sheppard
Air Force Base Commissary until retiring in 1997. He was
a member of the Burkburnett First Christian Church.
Survivors include one son, Kenneth of Baytown, Texas;
his mother, Iola Chandler of Burkburnett, one sister, Jan
Sheryl Tanner of Burkburnett; one grandchild and several
nieces and nephews.
