Thomas Henry Brady was born
Nov. 11, 1881, at Elkport, Iowa, the
son of Charles J. and Johannah
Buckley Brady. He died at Mercy
hospital, Oelwein, Aug. 9, 1957, at
5:30 p. m. at the age of 75 years,
eight months and 28 days.
He moved with his parents from
Elkport to Britt, la. at the age of
seven. He homesteaded in Divide
county, N, D. in 1902, where
he made his home until 1936, when
he returned to Iowa, where he
lived for the rest of his life.
He was married Sept. 28, 1910,
at Littleport, la. to Anna Wiley.
The couple had eight children.
Surviving are his children, Mrs.
Art (Irene) Nolan, Oelwein; Francis
and Ray, both of Green City,
Mo.; Clem, Aurora; Joe, Hawkeye;
Mrs. John (Mary) Michels,
Oelwein; Mrs. H. J. (Cathryn)
Kringlen, Chicago, and Mrs. Earl
(Zita) Muntean, Detroit.
Also surviving are a brother, C.
B. Brady, Crosby, N. D., and two
sisters, Mrs. Alfred Joyce, Crosby,
N. D. and Mrs. Thomas Joyce,
Noonan, N. D. Also 41 grandchildren
and 19 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in' death by his
parents, three brothers and two
sisters.
Mr. Brady served many years
on school and election boards in
the community.
Funeral services were held Aug.
12, at 10 a. m. at Sacred Heart
church in Oelwein, the Rev. P. J.
Maguire officiating. Burial was in
Sacred Heart cemetery at Littleport.
