BETTY JANE (Yauslin) Boleyn Gordon OLSON

Funeral services were held for Betty Jane Olson at 10:30 a.m. on April 28, 2004 at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Elgin, Iowa with interment in the Elgin Cemetery. Leonard Funeral Home of Elgin, Iowa was in charge of arrangements.

Betty Jane Olson 77, West Union, formerly of Elgin, died Monday April 26, 2004, at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo, Iowa following a long illness. She was born September 6, 1926, in Clermont, Iowa to Byron and Ruby (Hader) Yauslin. She graduated from Clermont High School in 1945.

She was united in marriage to Alfred LeRoy Boleyn on December 25, 1945, at the Methodist Parsonage in Elgin. Three children were born to this union. Her husband Alfred "Swede" Boleyn died in an auto accident on May 30, 1957.

Betty married Donald Gordon on June 6, 1959, in Wisconsin. Don also died in an auto accident on April 16, 1972. She married Alfred Olson on September 29, 1973, in New Albin, Iowa.

Betty spent the last thirty years in West Union, Iowa, where she has resided in the Good Samaritan Center for the past year.

Survivors include three sons, Norman (Susan) Boleyn, of Jacksonville, Florida, James Boleyn, of Rockford, Illinois, and Bradley (Jettie) Boleyn, of Fayette; Iowa; five step-children, ten grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; five brothers, Roger Yauslin, of West Union, John Yauslin, of Clermont, Dick Yauslin, of Elgin, Les Yauslin, of Rockford, IL and Don Yauslin, of Cedar Rapids and two sisters, Dorothy Williams, of Oelwein and Lois Luchsinger, of Clermont. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, and her parents.
