Mrs. Louis Sankey died at her home
a little southwest of here Tuesday afternoon
at 4:30 o'clock of heart trouble.
Mrs. Sankey gave birth to a little
daughter January 31 and was up
about the house and was supposed to
he getting along nicely when a clot
formed in her heart and she died very
suddenly. Mrs. Sankey was the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Hawkins
of Stanley and besides her parents
and husband she leaves two daughters
Elsie about six years old and the babe
about netdays old. The funeral was
held from the Presbyterian church on
Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted
by her pastor, Rev. J. C. Peck,
and the remains were laid to rest in
the Hazleton cemetery. Mrs. Sankey
was a noble Christian woman who enjoyed
the respect of all who knew her.
The funeral was largely attended by
sympathizing friends and neighbors
who came to pay the last tribute of
respect to one, whom they had learned
to love and admire.
