FAIRBANK (Special) -
Salome Hausler Neil, the
daughter of Johannas and Elisa
Hausler, was born April 30, 1892
at Sibley, Ill. She was baptized at
St. John's Lutheran Church,
Fairbank, on Sept. 18, 1892 by
Pastor A. Haun. On Feb. 14, 1917
she was joined in marriage to
Jesse Neil by Pastor H. Steger.
They had two children.
She died Dec. 9 at People's
Memorial Hospital, Independence,
at the age of 81.
She is survived by her husband,
Jesse, Fairbank; one daughter,
Mrs. Lowell Manross,
Quasqueton; one son, Leon,
Cedar Rapids; one brother, Hans
Hausler, Fairbank; two sisters,
Mrs. Bertha Wierck and Marie
Hausler, Fairbank; two grandchildren;
three greatgrandchildren.
Services were held Dec. 12 at 2
p.m. in St. John's Lutheran
Church, Fairbank with the Rev.
Erwin Meyers, officiating.
Organist was Mrs. Duane Wolf
and soloist was Mrs. Robert
Heilman. Casket bearers were
James Curley, Alfred Wierck,
Gordon Neil, Wilburt Lehmkuhl,
Vern Frieden, Frank Miller.
Burial was in Fairbank.
