Funeral services for Lester Cheney, Winthrop, will be at 2 pm Friday at the Methodist church in Winthrop. The Rev. L. J. Faris will officiate and burial will be in the Otsego cemetery near Hazleton.

Mr. Cheney died Monday, November 11 at the People's Memorial Hospital in Independence where he had been a patient for some time. He was born April 5, 1873 near Stanley. He was the son of George and Mary Robinson Cheney.

On June 1, 1908 he married Lurancia Fay at Hazleton. They farmed in the Winthrop community until 1948 when they retired and moved into Winthrop.

He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Harrison Mast , Winthrop; one son Clarence Cheney, Independence; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
