We are constantly being reminded of the very insecure quarters in which we are housed during this earthly life of ours; and how unexpectedly this physical house may become untenable. It is very satisfying to have a "House not made with the hands. Eternal in the Heavens" into which we have every assurance of being received, when such an event overtakes our life.

Our sister Cordialla Hillman has changed her residence. Through our tears, we rejoice in the reception she is assured in the Father's House. She resigned her earthly cares November 9, 1921. Cordialla Beare was born October 16, 1864 on the farm near Oelwein, Iowa. She was the third child of a family of ten children born to Israel and Susannah Beare, and practically her entire life has been lived in and near this city. On November 16, 1887, at West Union, Iowa, she was married to Daniel Stephen Hillman and they set up their home life on the Old Home Farm. To this union three children were born; Edna, Levern and Earl. Earl died at the age of 7 years and Edna at the age of 22 years, and Levern is at present in the Hospital in Chicago, having undergone an operation.

Mr. and Mrs. Hillman were converted and united with the Oelwein Methodist Church under the pastorate of Rev. J. H. Triem in July 1899, and have continued faithful members through the intervening years. Her membership has been transferred to the Church Triumphant. She leaves to mourn her loss besides her faithful and loving husband and the son mentioned above, one brother, Everett Beare and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Jipson and Mrs. Nettie McCormick all of Oelwein and a number of other relatives and large circle of friends.

The funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 from the Grace Methodist Church in charge of the pastor, Rev. Will Kirwin and interment was made in the Otsego Cemetery.
