JAMES TIMOTHY JOHNSON

Funeral services for James Johnson were held Thursday, June 3 at 11 a.m. at the West Clermont Lutheran Church, Clermont. The Rev. Duane Berg of Elgin officiated and the Rev. L. David Brown of Des Moines gave the sermon. The Schutte Funeral Service of Postville was in charge of arrangements. The committal service was conducted by the Rev. Richard Erickson at the Rose Hill Cemetery, Thompson, Iowa.

James Timothy Johnson, son of Clarence J. and Alice (Ullestrad) Johnson, was born Oct. 8, 1959 at Minot, N. D. He died Sunday, May 30 as the result of an automobile accident near Fargo, N. D.

He was baptized at the Mouse River Lutheran Church in Landa, N. D., and confirmed at the West Clermont Lutheran Church. He attended grade school in Larslan, Mont. They moved to Clermont in 1967 where he was graduated from the Valley School in 1978.

James had been employed in the Clermont and Grafton, N. D., areas and was presently attending Concordia College, Moorhead, Minn., where he was a sophomore.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John M. Johnson, and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. John Ullestrad.

Surviving are his parents, Rev. and Mrs. Clarence Johnson of St. Donatus, Iowa, his fiancee, Brenda Kaspari of International Falls, Minn., a brother, David, at home, a sister, Carol of Grafton, N. D. and his maternal grandfather, John Ullestad of Forest City, Iowa.

James was a member of the Mondamin Society at Concordia College.
