Orvin Reierson

Funeral services were held for Orvin B. Reierson Monday, December 5, 1977 at 1:30 p.m. at the East Clermont Lutheran Church, Clermont. The Rev. Clarence Johnson officiated with the Schutte Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Orvin B. Reierson, son of Ole and Bertha Mosby Reierson, was born on July 11, 1917 in Clayton County, Iowa. He passed away December 2, 1917 (sic) in Community Memorial Hospital, Postville, Iowa at the age of 60 years.

He was baptized September 9, 1917 and confirmed May 13, 1934 at the East Clermont Lutheran Church. On October 15, 1958 he was united in marriage to Marian Boese at the Community Presbyterian Church in Postville. Orvin lived in Clayton and Fayette Counties all his life and worked as a farm hand until his health failed and he was hospitalized in September, 1977.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters: Mrs. Bert (Gladys) Bruckner and Mrs. Melvin (Bernice) Vick; and two nieces.

He is survived by his wife, Marian; his step-mother, Mrs. Marie Reierson, Elgin, Iowa; five half-brothers: Alphie, Glen and Donald, all of Elgin, Iowa; Clarence Walker, Iowa; and Robert, Postville; two half-sisters: Mrs. Lydia Molokken, Clermont, Iowa and Mrs. Cecil (Darlene) Abel, Belle, Missouri; nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Burial was in the East Clermont Cemetery.
