Marion Reierson

Funeral services for Mrs. Marion Reierson were held Monday, August 12, 1998, at 2:00 p.m. in the Good Samaritan Center Chapel at Postville. The Rev. Paul Birkedal officiated. Special music was provided by Joann Martins, organist and Karla Johnson, soloist. The Schutte Funeral Services of Postville was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in the East Clermont Lutheran Church, rural Postville.

Marion Reierson, the daughter of William and Mary (Freeman) Boese, was born December 12, 1929, at Postville, IA. She passed away Sunday, August 9, 1998, in the Good Samaritan Center at Postville, IA. She had reached the age of 68 years, seven months and 27 days.

She attended the Postville Community School. On October 15, 1958 she was married to Orvin B. Reierson in the Community Presbyterian Church at Postville. The couple lived in Clayton and Fayette counties where Orvin worked as a farm hand. After Orvin's death, Marion went to live with her family in Postville. She became a resident of the Good Samaritan Center in Postville in 1990.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Orvin, who died in 1977; a sister, Florence and a brother, Allen Boese.

Surviving are her brothers, Kenneth Boese and wife, Darlene of Rapid City, SD; Keith Boese, and Merlin Boese, both of Waukon, IA; Gene Boese and wife, Shirley of Clermont, IA, and Charles Boese and wife, Judy of Decorah, IA.

Marion was a member of the East Clermont Lutheran Church, rural, Postville.

Casket bearers were Dave Boese, Loren Johnson, Clarence Reierson, Glen Reierson, Don Reierson and Robert Reierson.
