Mrs. Mary Detrick died at her home 320 First Avenue, N.E. Sunday morning about 4:30 o'clock, after an illness extending since early in July. Mrs. Detrick was about 79 years of age and was one of the finest citizens in Oelwein, which place has been her home for many years.

Mrs. Detrick's husband (George) died about 25 years ago. She leaves four daughters and one son to mourn. They are Mrs. L. D. Platt, Mrs. Ralph Moulton, and Mrs. J. H. Campbell of Oelwein and Mrs. J. K. Stokes of Oklahoma City. The son J. M. Detrick lives in Arriba, Colorado.

The funeral services will be held at the home at two o'clock tomorrow, Tuesday afternoon and at the Grace Methodist Church at 2:15. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery.
