George Brownell (ca 1916- 1988)

Stanley - Services for George Brownell, 74, of Phoenix, Arizona, formerly of Stanley, were today at Mount of Olives Lutheran Church, Phoenix, with burial in Green Acres Memorial Gardens, Scottsdale, Arizona. He died Sunday (January 31, 1988) at Good Samaritan Medical Center, Phoenix of acute bronchitis. Survivors include his wife, Emma, four sons, Lyle of Phoenix, John of Cottonwood, Arizona, Charles of Dixon and Vern of Marion; a daughter, Georgia Newkirk of Phoenix; six grandchildren; a sister, Ruth Gunnison of Stanley; a brother Grant of El Paso, Texas. He was preceded in death by two grandchildren. Memorials maybe made to the Phoenix Zoo; Mr. Brownell was a retired carpenter.
