Mrs. Wilhemine Wegner, nee Fratzke, was born October 10, 1833 at Schlunawo, Province Posen, Germany. In 1852 she was married to Frederick Wegner, who died in 1876. 11 children were born to them, 5 preceed her into eternity. In 1881 she entered into a second marriage with Franz Bucholz. They came to this country in 1889. For the last six years she has made her home with her youngest son and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Wegner south of Oelwein.

For years she suffered much from rheumatism and death was a welcome messenger to her. She died Saturday morning, September 7. The funeral services held Monday afternoon conducted by Rev. F. Zimmermann. Besides her husband she leaves six children, 25 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Her age was 73 years, 10 months and 27 days.
