This following obituary is from a yet unknown Paper in the area.
It was found in the Historical Society files, directly across the street from the courthouse.

Mrs. Mabel Smith Dies

Funeral /services for Mrs. Mabel Hack Smith, 79, who died at the home of her son Floyd Hack in Waterloo, Monday, January 27, were held at the Randalia Methodist church Wednesday afternoon at 2 p. m. Rev. Gale Hawhee, pastor, officiated. As Mabel Grant, an only child of William and Sarah Grant she was born near Randalia November 21, 1878. She was married to Henry W. Hack November 20,1899, at Randalia and they lived on farms near Randalia and Hawkeye until his death in June 15, 1918. The Hack farm is now owned by H. F. Robbins where the F.C. Kruse family now resides. On October 12, 1926, she was married to Edward Smith of Hawkeye who died on March 25, 1949. Mrs. Smith then maintained her home in Randalia until five months ago when she went to Waterloo to live with her son Floyd and family. She is survived by three sons, Floyd and Theodore of Waterloo and Raymond of Winthrop, and one daughter, (Cela), Mrs. F. B. Bugan, of Cedar Rapids. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Besides her parents and two husbands she was preceded in death by a daughter who died in infancy.
