William Henry Bush, son of James and Betty Bush was born in Whale Center, New York, July 3, 1857. On July 9, 1883 he was married to Lizzie Miller to which union two sons were born, Allen and Laurel. One son and wife preceded him in death, the other son, Laurel is living here in Oelwein. On May 14, 1921 he was married to Grace Eveland at Independence, Iowa. He was baptized in 1933 by Rev. Wade.

While staying with his family at Waterloo about a week ago, he was taken with a stroke, and all that loving hands could do was of no vail and he passed away at the hospital in Fayette, Monday evening, July 28th.

He is survived by his wife, Grace and six children; Laurel of Oelwein, Robert of Aurora, Betty, Bessie, Aletha, Jeanette and Laura Mae at home in Waterloo, also a step-son, DeForest of Philadelphia, Penn. and four grandchildren of Oelwein to mourn his passing. He was a kind and generous husband and father and made friends with all who met him.

Funeral services were held at the Brant Funeral Home Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 with Rev. J. W. Gillespie officiating. Burial at Otsego cemetery, beside his first wife.
