"Sorrow abideth but for a night but joy cometh in the morning" was written long years ago, and is but a poetic fancy. There is sorrow in the home of William Bush, a few miles northeast of the city which time alone can heal. On March 10th the death angel came to his home and took to her final resting place, his loved companion. Deceased was daughter of A. J. Miller and wife, old time residents of the county, and was born on the old homestead in Fayette county, on May 1, 1866, being at the time of her death 30 years, 9 months and 19 days old. She was united in marriage on July 9, 1883 to William Bush of Erie county, New York. Their first child was born to them in Dakota May 21, 1884 and died in October of the same year. Their second child, Allen, was born October 22, 1892 and the infant child born September 6, 1896, who still survive her. Mrs. Bush was taken sick with the measles on February 26, 1897 and was seriously ill from the first, and her life went out with great suffering, with no loving word for those left behind to mourn her departure, nor look of remembrance on the parting scenes amid which she had been reared. The remains were taken from the family home to Otsego cemetery, Friday forenoon, where they were laid to rest, and the services were held in the M. E. church at two o'clock in the afternoon, Rev. Triem preaching.
