Lucy Woods Dickinson, age 76, passed away at the home of her son Ray at Waterloo on Friday afternoon, December 17, 1943.
She was the daughter of Lewis C. and Angeline Woods and was born January 12, 1867, at Pine Creek, near Independence, Iowa.
On March 11, 1886, she was united in marriage to Charles A. Dickinson. They established their home on a farm northeast of Stanley. After the death of her husband on May 11, 1917, she made her home with her son Ray with whom she has resided till the time of her death.
She was preceded in death by her husband and three sons, Earl, Louis and Ulva. She leaves her son Ray and his wife, five grandchildren and two great granddaughters.
Funeral services were held from the Union church in Stanley Monday afternoon, Rev. L. W. Hauter officiating. Mrs. Elmer Morgan and George Hill sang, "Old Rugged Cross" and "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere". They were accompanied on piano by Mable Campbell.
Casket bearers were H. Hill, Ray Smith, Charles James, Art Hillman and Charles Morgan. Interment was in the Otsego Cemetery.
