Mrs. Rose Day, 82 year old former resident of this city passed away in the Sartori Hospital in Cedar Falls yesterday morning. A resident of that city for the past 18 months she had lived in Oelwein for many years prior to that time.

Funeral services will be held in the Methodist church in Oelwein Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. The body will lie in state at the Hintz Funeral Home until the hour of services. Rev. F. C. Witzleman will officiate at the funeral rites. Interment will be made in Otsego Cemetery.

Born in England December 28, 1862, Mrs. Day, whose husband was the late W. H. Day, lived 75 years in the United States.

The deceased is survived by nine children, including Mrs. Ethel Birchard of Cedar Falls; Mrs. Thomas Stevens of Brainard, Minnesota; Mrs. Hazel Brownell of Stanley; Mrs. Bessie Gorton of Eau Claire, Wisconsin; Miss Pauline Day of Duluth, Minnesota; Clyde Day of Waterloo; Arthur Day of Arlington; Richard Day of Ames and Frank Day who resides in California.
