Died - At his home in this city, Tuesday, at 3 pm, John W. Holroyd, of typhoid fever, aged 28 years. It is nearly three weeks since he was taken with the disease which terminated in death. At first, his illness was not considered serious, but, despite the the best of care and treatment, he continued to grow worse til the end came. In the full vigor and strength of young manhood, the life cords were severed, and by his death an aching void is left in the hearts of loving parents, sisters and brothers. The deceased was a noble young man; sober and industrious, and possessing a good moral character and an amiable disposition he was universally held in high esteem and his death is greatly lamented by the entire community. The funeral was held from the house at 10 o'clock Thursday, services conducted by Rev. Cook. The remains were escorted to the grave by the K. of P. lodge, of which he was an active and honored member. The sevices at the grave consisted of the funeral rights of this order. The kindest sympathy is felt by the friends of the bereaved family in their great affiction.
