Funeral services will be held Wednesday 1:30 p.m. at the White Funeral Home in Independence for Mrs. Lurancia Cheney, 98, former Buchanan County resident who died Monday morning at Schoitz Memorial Hospital in Waterloo.

Mrs. Cheney has resided in the Colonial Manor Nursing Home in LaPorte City for the last nine years.

Burial will be in the Otsego cemetery in Fayette County.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Mary Mast of LaPorte City; one son, Clarence of Cedar Rapids; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
