Joseph Conrad, living two miles south of Westgate, was kicked by a horse Monday, June 12th and died from the effects of it the next day. Funeral services were held at the M.E. church here Tuesday, June 15th. The G. A. R. Post of which he was a member being in charge. He was 54 years old. He leaves a wife and a large family to mourn his loss. One daughter, Mrs. Arthur Burdick, lives lere and his aged father and mother.
