Ora C. Williams, 92, of West Union died of natural causes Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 18, 2007, at Palmer Lutheran Health Center, West Union.

There will be no visitation, as Ora's body was cremated per her request. Private family services will be held at a later date at Wilson Cemetery in Independence.

Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Waverly assisted the family with arrangements.

Ora C. Williams was born Feb. 27, 1915, in Steamboat Rock to Ray and Ona (Williams) Cartwright.

On Feb. 21, 1942, she was united in marriage with Clyde Williams in Yuma, Ariz. The couple made their home in several communities before moving to West Union. Clyde died in August 1971. Ora continued to live in her home in West Union until she entered Palmer Lutheran Health Center last month.

In addition to her husband, Clyde, Ora was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Gladys and Cleo; and a brother, Jim.

Survivors include two sons, Larry (Sally) Williams of Waverly and Ray (Sally) Williams of Scottsdale, Ariz.; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
